  • Ann Baay: Owner/Director

Coming from a large family and having children of my own at a young age, I knew that I wanted my career to involve children. I began working at a NAEYC accredited school in Manalapan, NJ and was immediately appointed Head teacher of the Infant and Toddler rooms as well as managing 8 staff members for over 5 years. Once I moved to Point Pleasant in 2006, I continued my career at Tender Years. I spent 11 years as the lead teacher in the 2-year-old class and then moved into an Assistant Director role until I finally made Tender Years my own!

  • Micalah Dolan: Head Teacher/Pre-K Lead Teacher

Currently the lead Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Tender Years, where I have held this position since 2016. I am a graduate of Georgian Court University and am certified to teach K-6 with a Special Education endorsement. While in college, I was a Teacher’s Assistant at a Preschool in Spring Lake. I was there for 5 years and developed my love for teaching children at a young age. My passion in life is to inspire children to be excited and intrigued by the prospect of learning new things. As Head Teacher, I oversee the curriculum and lesson plans of each classroom and act as a mentor to our staff. While in the Pre-Kindergarten classroom, my students learn all the social, emotional, and academic skills needed for a successful start in kindergarten. The students learn through hands-on, play based learning. I am certified in Fundations, which is the language program used in the surrounding school districts. My goal is to facilitate a smooth transition for all my students heading into full day kindergarten.
